Owner and Operator of Arens Equestrian, Ally Arens, has had a passion for horses from a very young age. She started riding in 2006 at the age of 14 in Ottawa. She has ridden under the coaching and guidance of Marcel Leonard, Rejane Sylvester, Kerstin Blaeske, Sian Fernandez Thomas, Jason Lauzon Couvillon and Melissa Weiss.
Although her focus has not been in the show ring, she has shown up to .90 jumpers on the Silver circuit, training level dressage and Welsh and CSHA in-hand breeders shows.
In 2012, she started learning how to train horses from the ground. She has since started many horses under saddle and how to drive.

In 2015 she started classes at the University of Guelph to obtain her Diploma In Equine Studies.

She started coaching in 2018 and has experience teaching students of all ages, from complete beginners to advanced students, looking to fill gaps in their knowledge. She also has experience teaching students with disabilities. Her coaching style is patient and encouraging with equal focus on horse and rider.
In October 2020 she moved to her current property and continues to update and upgrade the facilities.
Allison has an unyielding passion for learning everything about horses and is constantly taking classes and courses to further her education.

In February of 2025 she became a Registered Coach with Equestrian Canada.
